I was inspired to make up response sheets to encourage the kinders to do more writing, but I wasn't really sure how to go about it. A lot of the things I see online are things that you can tell were written by the teacher and the students copied the words. I wanted something authentic...that were written by the kids themselves. So I tried to make some sheets that could be done by the kiddos after we have storytime. (This also adds a writing piece to my storytime, which is not technically in the same part of the day as my "literacy block".) Here are some of the sheets we have done in the last few weeks:
*Little Penguin's Tale
*The Mitten
*The Hat
*Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

I love how simple and effective the response sheets are. The sheets would work nicely for assessments of IEP goals as well. Thanks. Alison http://hurrayforfdk.blogspot.com/
