Photo Editor ...Anyone?

It has just occurred to me that my new laptop has no photo editor.
What should I use? Any suggestions? Should I get a free one? Should I buy something? Is Photoshop worth it?

How did I not notice I had no photo editor?

...It could be that I haven't cropped/edited anything since printing pictures for scrapbooking last summer...

...It could be Pinterest (I search it almost daily for SOMETHING!)

...Or it could be my new obsession with Storage Wars( or the Bachelor)....just too much TV!

Please comment if you have any suggestions or can tell me what Photo Editor you like or use! :)

Winter Math Literacy and Science Giveaway

It has been a longgg week for those of us without a Winter Break!

I was kind of thinking about the upcoming units I do in my classroom, but I didn't make anything new to go with them lately...at least, not yet...(we do monsters, Dr Seuss, dinosaurs, etc...)

(Too much Bachelor, not enough time. Or maybe it was Pinterest...)

Anyway, I was feeling like a freebie was in order, since there isn't anything NEW being made around here...

Homework Calendars - Freebie

Lesson Plan Diva is doing a Homework Linky Party! Be sure to check it out and link up!

This year in Kindergarten we started using activity-type Homework Calendars(count the cans in your kitchen, etc.) But since December, we have started using revised versions of these Homework Calendars (FREE here).

Looking back, this internet find  was sooo lucky. It was awesome to be able to edit these calendars. I did  a few more edits after they went home, because some of the parents had trouble with the directions!

Fall Bulletin Board

I love to make these every year! We are always doing something different with them. This year we added a "spelling" word on our sentence strip.


I just love doing these every year. (The original post has more pictures.) I love how they turn out differently for each student. I love to see which students really get into this! I have also edited this to have the children write in the "a" instead of the "see", for my low group.
