Homework Packs for Kindergarten and First Grade

Earlier this year, I revised these packs for Kindergarten and First.  I put the CCSS on the bottom to  show the parents WHY we are doing these things, and sent them home once a week. Here are a few K that were sent home for homework(They can be used with any book):

Homework and other Great Ideas

I have been editing our Kindergarten Homework again! I found an awesome site for you to check out:

I think I will print some of this out for classroom use, especially the sight word activities, but I wanted to share some of these great printables!

Homework Calendars - Freebie

This year in Kindergarten we started using activity-type Homework Calendars(count the cans in your kitchen, etc.) But since December, we have started using revised versions of these Homework Calendars (FREE here). We find them to be more academic, more matched to what we are doing/teaching, and an activity that the parents really like.  Plus I like to see "proof" that the kids are doing work at home! We attached a "response sheet" to the end, so we can get feedback from the families.
