I have been getting a jumpstart on Chapter 7 by creating a 3-D/ 2-D Shape Unit on TPT. I was looking to make something with the 3-D shapes for K-1, but I added 2-D shape activities too. :)
Also, while I was reading the blogs for Chapter 6, I ran into this GREAT song for shapes: {Song on Youtube}
If you want to check out my *new* TPT unit: {Shapes Unit}
Plus, another freebie online can be found here: {Pattern Block designs}

Chapter 6: Math Stations
Freebie-Mystery Number sheet
I made this to go with the activity on page 152 for kindergartners. I tried loading it into google docs, but it wouldn't keep my original font or border. SO Strange! So it is now a freebie on TPT!

Math Stations Chapter 5: Addition and Subtraction
Well, for years I've had those theme-related mini erasers and the mats. I guess now I have a great motivation to get them out!
Here is a picture that I found on the web somewhere(let me know if you know where it came from) that I thought was really good for addition with dominos. I also have a similar chart for only counting those mini erasers, with numbers 1-12 across the top and each column one inch wide, on a 12 x 18 piece of construction paper. Visit Primary Graffiti for more about Chapter Five: {http://www.primarygraffiti.blogspot.com/2011/06/math-workstations-learning-resources.html}.

Math Stations Chapter 4
Wow Fran did a great job! I would love to be a fly on her wall say something more or post a great idea, but I am overwhelmed with ideas! However, this "beginning concept" area is the hardest for me. I have been spending oodles of time here though:
{http://prekinders.com/numbers-counting/ } for some great super easy ideas. It is hard to go to these lower skills for some of the kids who need it, especially when you have a broad range of kids. It seems like they come in at the higher levels, or so it seems. But I know that they may not really have the concept of number sense just because they know the numbers. I really want to focus on these concepts this year!

Math Stations Chapter 3: Getting Started
So, I found a pocket chart that may be used for math stations:{ Click for pocket chart}
It is cheaper than RGS at 39.95...Also, I found this one on accident while linking my third option at 21.99...{Click for second chart}. Here is { the third one} at 34.99. Does anyone think one of these might work?
